Kings District RCMP responds to armed robbery in Greenwood

Kings District RCMP is investigating after responding to an armed robbery in Greenwood.

At approximately​ 10:00​ p.m. on August 10, police responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a gas bar and convenience store on Central Ave. in Greenwood. Upon arrival, police learned that an employee had been approached by an unknown man in the parking lot of the store. The suspect demanded that employee re-open the store to give him money. The suspect then displayed a firearm to the employee and demanded that the employee hand over their wallet. The suspect left the store parking lot on foot. No one was injured.

The suspect was wearing a dark blue hoodie with a dark bandana mask over their face. He is described as approximately 5-foot-5 and 140lbs. The suspect appeared to be in their early twenties and has what appeared to be brown hair.

The investigation is ongoing and is being supported by the Kings District General Investigation Section and Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.
