Police Patrol Officer’s responded to a Hit and Run Vehicle / Pedestrian Collision in Halifax

Just after 9:30 P.M. Halifax Regional Police Patrol Officer’s responded to a Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Collision at Robie Street and Pepperell Street in Halifax.
It was reported that a vehicle traveling on Robie Street struck a pedestrian and failed to remain onscene.
Police with the help of witnesses were able to locate the vehicle involved and the driver a short distance away.
Police have a suspect in custody.
The injured pedestrian was transported to the QE2 hospital for treatment to what is at this time, unknown injuries.
Traffic southbound on Robie Street between Quinpool Road and Shirley Street will be closed for some time as Police Forensic Identification as well as Accident Investigation Services process the scene. An update will be provided once re-opened.
Robie Street has now been re-opened.
