Update – Police respond to threats call at Dartmouth Court

Police responded to a threats call at the Dartmouth Provincial Court today.

At approximately 1 p.m. police received an anonymous threats call in relation to the Dartmouth Provincial Court.

Officers were at the courthouse for an unrelated matter at the time of the call and were able to confirm that there was no immediate threat. Officers remained on scene to ensure public safety, and as a precaution, officers provided a presence at the Halifax and Dartmouth courthouses until the courthouses closed for the day.

The investigation is in the early stages and no further information is available at this time.

 

Police respond to threats call

Police have a presence at the Halifax and Dartmouth courthouses in relation to a threats call. There is no known threat to public safety.

As a precaution members of the public are being asked to stay away from the areas to allow the officers to do their work.
