Pedestrian dies after vehicle/pedestrian collision last week

The pedestrian injured in a collision that occurred last week​ at Young Street and Kempt Road in Halifax has died from injuries sustained. 

On March 16, at 7:58​ a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a vehicle & pedestrian collision at Young Street and Kempt Road Halifax. An 75-year old man was crossing Young Street in a crosswalk and was struck by a pickup truck turning East onto Young Street from Kempt Road. ​ The man had been transported to the hospital.​

The driver was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.​ Investigators with Patrol, Accident Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section are continuing to conduct the investigation.​
