Police charge two men for break and enter

Halifax Regional Police has charged two men in relation to a break and enter that occurred yesterday in Dartmouth.

At approximately 9:10 a.m. police received a report of a break and enter at 11 Catherine Street where the suspects stole a number of appliances.

Patrol officers assigned to the area located some of the stolen property a short distance away. They identified two suspects, and at approximately 2 p.m., they arrested the men at an address on Victoria Road in Dartmouth.

Two Dartmouth men, ages 50 and 37, will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face one count each of:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000

The 50-year-old man is also charged with one count of breaching an undertaking.
