Traffic Delay – Joseph Howe Drive
Location: Intersection of Joseph Howe Drive and Highway 102, Exit 0
Date: November 24
Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Work details: This project supports upgrades to the intersection of Joseph Howe Drive and Highway 102, Exit 0 and establishes a safer and more connected active transportation network as part of the Regional Centre Cycling Network outlined in the Integrated Mobility Plan.
Traffic impact: The right turn lane to Joseph Howe Drive from the Highway 102 Exit will be closed during this work. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Pedestrians and cyclists can expect to encounter sidewalk closures at times on the Joseph Howe Drive sidewalk and the Chain of Lakes trail; however, one sidewalk on either side of Joseph Howe Drive will remain open.

Traffic Delay – Portland Street
Location: Portland Street, in front of civic address #184
Date: Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
Work details: This work is for natural gas service installation.
Traffic Impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Jubilee Road
Location: Jubilee Road, from civic address 6422 to the intersection with Oxford Street
Date: Tuesday, Nov. 22 to Wednesday, Nov. 23
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
Work details: This work is to support underground utility work. Further questions can be directed to Eastward Energy at 902.466.2003.
Traffic impact: One lane closure will be in place and traffic control personnel will be on-site while work is underway. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Hammonds Plains Road
Location: Hammonds Plains Road, from Pockwock to Lucasville roads
Date: Saturday, Nov. 19
Time: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work details: This work is for pavement rehabilitation. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delays and Road Closures – Joseph Howe Drive
Location: Eastbound off-ramp, from Bedford Highway to Joseph Howe Drive, and Joseph Howe Drive, from Fairview Overpass to Dutch Village Road
Date: Saturday, November 19 to Friday, December 9
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends
Work details: This is related to underground utility work. Further questions can be directed to Eastward Energy at 902.466.2003.
Traffic impact: The eastbound off-ramp, from Bedford Highway to Joseph Howe Drive, will be closed while work is underway on weekdays. Traffic using the eastbound off-ramp, from Bedford Highway to Joseph Howe Drive, will be detoured down Main Avenue while work takes place on weekdays.
Lane drops will be in place on Joseph Howe Drive, from Fairview Overpass to Dutch Village Road, while work takes place on weekends.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible
Traffic Delays – Joseph Howe Drive
Location: Joseph Howe Drive, between Dutch Village Road and Scot Street
Date: Saturday, November 19
Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the completion of underground infrastructure and asphalt patching.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. The sidewalk will remain open on the west side of Joseph Howe Drive. The sidewalk will be closed on east side of Joseph Howe Drive at the work site. The bus stop on the east side will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Brickton Bridge, Brickton
Brickton Bridge on Mount Hanley Road will be closed for repairs until December 16.
A detour is in place.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, James River
Highway 104, westbound lane about one kilometre west of James River Interchange, Exit 30, is reduced to one lane for about one kilometre.
Twinning work continues until 2023.
Signs are in place and drivers are encouraged to use caution.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Burnett Bridge, Pine Grove
Burnett Bridge, over McLean Brook on Route 224 in Pine Grove, is closed until further notice.
Detour signs and a 30-tonne weight restriction are in place. All other trucks are to follow the posted truck route. The detour is via Saint Andrews River Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Apple River Bridge
Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, will be closed until further notice due to structural damage.
Signs and detour are in place.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 344 (Main Street), Mulgrave
Route 344/Main Street traffic is being re-routed onto the newly installed detour bridge.
The entrance to Mill Street from Main Street is closed, and drivers should use an alternate route. Signs are in place.
The detour will remain in place until Wednesday, November 30.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, will have lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive will have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30, 2023.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions will occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp will be closed until September 2023.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Dunmore Road, Dunmore
Dunmore Road, from one kilometre east of Trunk 19 easterly for 6.3 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for gravelling until Wednesday, November 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: East River West Side Road, Eureka
The section between 6280 East River West Side Road and Churchville Road is closed until Wednesday, November 30, for the replacement of the Eureka Mills Bridge.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Westville Road, New Glasgow
Westville Road at Highway 104 is closed nightly, Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Work continues until Wednesday, November 30. A detour will be in place and drivers should proceed with caution.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Jordan Falls
Highway 103, about 100 metres west of Exit 24, has alternating lane closures for rehabilitation work on Jordan Falls Bridge until Wednesday, November 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105
Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30 easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for road work until Wednesday, November 30.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Seal Island Bridge
Seal Island Bridge is reduced to one lane for inspections until Monday, November 28.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Trunk 30, Tarbotvale
Trunk 30, from 500 metres west of Route 312, is reduced to one lane until Tuesday, December 20, for replacement of a retaining wall.
