Snowfall warning in effect
Significant snowfall of 15 to 20 cm Monday.
Locations: Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Antigonish, and Truro.
Time span: early Monday morning until Monday evening.
Remarks: A low pressure system will pass just south of Nova Scotia on Monday, bringing a widespread snowfall of 15 to 20 cm. Highest amounts will occur over Cape Breton, and could exceed 25 cm. Heavy snowfall will taper off from west to east on Monday evening.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
