Water Distribution System Flushing Update
Each day from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Halifax Water crews are continuing with our seasonal hydrant flushing activities to maintain high-quality water throughout the water distribution system in HRM.
As a result of this water distribution system maintenance, some customers in or near the flushing areas may experience temporarily discoloured water or low water pressure.
If you experience discoloured water, please report it using the form at: www.halifaxwater.ca/discoloured-water. Information on what to do if your water is discoloured is also available on this page.
Residents can check the attached maps or the online interactive map at: www.halifaxwater.ca/notice/2021-water-distribution-system-flushing to see if they are in or near the potentially impacted areas.
These activities will continue for approximately five more weeks as crews move throughout the distribution system. Further updates will be provided as flushing progresses to other areas. There will be no traffic impacts.
